Can money make you happy
In my opinion, money cannot buy you happiness. Having enough money to meet your needs is great, but having a lot of money does not guarantee happiness.here are a few points to think about.
Money can buy some amount of happiness
Studies have shown that yes, having enough money to meet your needs and those of your family does bring happiness. People living in poverty are generally less happy than those whose needs are met. When you can meet your financial obligations it will contribute to your happiness. Let us be clear that not all persons living in poverty are unhappy. There are some people who always find something to give thanks for, no matter the situation.
Having more than you need
Having more money than you need will not make you happy. having lots of money do not equate to happiness. People who can buy anything that they want are not necessarily happier than those who can meet their needs.
If you have too little money you have to worry about how to meet your financial needs. Lots of money sometimes makes you suspicious of people’s motives towards you.
Manage your money
I know that it is not about the amount of money I make that will make me happy, but what I use my money for. My house needed to be painted, I made the sacrifice and bought some last year, and some of the rest at the time I was painting(still need more). Looking at my nicely painted house makes me happy. There are some principles for using money that can help to make you feel more satisfied. Where you put your money and who receives it can make a difference as to whether you gained something by having it.
Spend on experiences, not things
Whenever I go shopping, it does not guarantee I will be a happier person. Although investing in items that will last seems like a wise choice. Studies have shown that we tend to adjust to what we obtain, having these do not continue to bring unlimited happiness.
We are more likely to have long-term happiness when money is spent on experiences which gives us lasting memories. Last year I and my hubby went on vacation, it was great, we will always have that memory. It is good to either take a vacation by yourself or with family or make time to do something fun every now and then… be sure to create experiences rather than purchasing something that will fade away over time.
Giving is one of the most satisfying things you can do with your money. Whether it is to charity or a friend that is in need, find a way to give back and share what you have. This will make you feel fulfilled.
The short answer is no you do not need money to be happy. Money can be useful, however, to prevent stress that can diminish your happiness. No matter what amount of money you have, use it to help you gain a certain level of happiness and live a life full of joy.
